(The Lightbook itself uses neither Windows nor any form of cursor.)

Go to (eg) the contents page or index — this button is inactive in our simulation.

We have, in this Web-based simulation, replaced physical button-pressing by left-cursor clicks on the ‘pictorial’ buttons shown.

Turn one page back

Turn one page forward

Usually (as here, in this simulation) this button closes the book.

(NOTE:  If clicking “Return” seems to have no effect, it’s probably because you need your browser to ‘allow blocked content’.)
The pages of a book created with Illumination can be displayed on the Lightbook in either portrait or landscape mode: the buttons around the screen are automatically reassigned so that, whatever the orientation, the one at the left turns back a page, the one at the right turns forward one page . . . etc; thus simulating a printed book as closely as possible.
